We are a group of professionals and specialists in the field of Childbirth education and lactation education in Santa Monica. Founder Lizabeth Baker-Wade, RN opened Birth and Beyond four years ago to a roaring start and soon after joined her company Birth and Beyond with Cheryl Baker, founder of Birth Partners to form what is now Santa Monica’s premier Childbirth education center. “It just keeps getting better and more fun!” Liz says.

Lizabeth Baker-Wade, RN. Has spent the last sixteen years working as a labor and delivery nurse. “I know what new parents want to learn and I tell it like it is. My information is direct from the delivery room.”

Cheryl Baker is a 20 + year veteran of the labor room in the capacity as this city’s most raved about labor Doula. Cheryl is a DONA certified Labor Doula, Certified Bradley Educator and Certified Lactation Educator from UCLA. She has been a birth attendant for over 500 births and is an expert in her field. "I keep my classes fresh and fun, teaching couples tips and tricks from a doula's prespective. I know what works in the labor room."
